Description: An erect deciduous tree. Leaves are trifoliate and roundish-ovate. Flowers are arranged in big racemes. Orange-red, bracteate, small bracteolate flowers. Calyx is companulate, silky hairy in outside and velvety inside. Corolla is papillionaceous type with 5petals, two wings, and a keel that resembles the curled beak of a carrot. Stamens10 in diadelphous condition. Ovary is stalked. Fruit is a pod.

Uses: The seeds are used to treat urinary discharges, piles, keratitis and diseases of the eye, brain, head and skin.
