Description: Diffuse herb. Leaves opposite, ovate-oblong, subcordate at the base. Slender petiole, flowers bisexual, pink in panicles of sub capitate umbels. Perianth tube short 5 ribbed, limbs of perianth funnel shaped. Stamen 2, exserted, filaments unequal. Ovary oblique, 1 - celled stipitate. Ovules erect. Stigma peltate. Fruit visicid, easily detached.
