Qualitoys were first issued in September 1969 with a further six added to the group sometime in 1971. Production appears to have ceased in 1972. Slightly larger than normal Corgis and possibly approaching the 1:36 scale which would be the major series for Corgi from 1972, these were branded as 'Turbine Truck' or 'Jumbo' but were not based on any real vehicles. Fairly simple in design they were intended for younger collectors, although several had interesting features. None had suspension and all but the Dozer had free-spinning wheels with 'pneumatic' tyres.
Q709 is listed as a Horse Box Trailer on the reverse of the card packs for several models but I have yet to find one. The little red book issued with the Great Book of Corgi states that the last six Qualitoys were introduced during 1971. As Q701-8 comprised the first batch, this would imply that there was no Q713.
