March 1965  - 1966

Produced for less than a year, to be replaced by 474, the version with musical chimes. This was issued in an attractive scene together with ice cream vendor and child characters.

A set of stickers was included to be added in places as shown in a set of instructions.

October 1965 - 1968

This is identical to 447 except that both characters have disappeared and there is now a large handle attached to the back which might play a typical ice cream van tune.

The tines on the musical device often break and this results in a strange tune or none at all when they all break.

No variations known. Remains in production through to 1968.

February 1962 - 1966

Three external colours: olive and very pale green, deep mauve and pale lilac and dark blue and creamy-white

The interiors were usually brown in the olive edition and the mauve, but a cream and red interior for the blue model with a cream interior less common.

Early editions had fixed shaped wheels and later editions free-spinning shaped wheels.

One of the side windows has no blind and it may be either the left or right side, front or rear!
