Citroën

210 and 210S Citroën DS19

December 1957 - 1960 (210)

June 1960 - 1965 (210S)

Colours either deep metallic green with a black roof or bright yellow with a red roof. Two types of base exist. One has a sort of 'differential' bulge at the rear, the other, on later editions is flat.

The 210 has only fixed smooth wheels.

210S was issued in 1960 in red with the addition of suspension and a yellow interior.

The 210S may have smooth, shaped fixed wheels or shaped free-spinning wheels. The model with free-spinning wheels is rare and has fog lamps cast at the front and would appear to be from a late production run using the revised casting for the 323 Monte Carlo edition.

The first type of 210 featured a 'differential' bulge on the rear axle and a transmission shaft running from front to back. It was soon realised that, being front wheel drive, this was a bit silly and the bulge disappeared and the detailed ends to the shaft were deleted in a revised base casting.

Very late editions of 210S have four fog lamps included in the cast, in what appear to be similar positions to the jewels used in the Monte Carlo edition.
