February 1957 - 1959 (207M)
February 1957 - 1962 (207)
The 207 was red over a very pale green and the 207M a cream-yellow shade.
The 207 is rare with shaped wheels (type II) and these versions have just the roof painted red.
It can be found with a black or grey base of the solid type, with a 'differential'. The grey base can be found on some 207 type 1 models and all the type 2 editions. Not yet seen on a 207M.
A 207 in creamy-yellow and red colours is known, with a grey base but type 1 roof paint. These may have been factory samples and are certainly very rare.
A good example of the scarce cream and red edition from my own collection. This has the same grey base as above and red paint on the window pillars as well as roof. It can be seen that the colour is not the same as the later issue of the 203 Vauxhall.
Quite a variety of bases for this model! For the 207 there may be text 'MADE IN GT. BRITAIN' between the front wheels or just a blank. For the 207M the PATENT PENDING can be between the front wheels or either side of CORGI TOYS.
The 207 may also have a grey base with the text between the front wheels as shown above.
