Ingredients
170 g uncooked medium shrimp, peeled deveined
1 medium red onion, chopped
½ tsp grated lime peel
15 ml lime juice
4 ml soy sauce
A pinch of pepper
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
2.5 ml sesame oil
Procedure:
- Wash and deveine the shrimp. To deveine, use a toothpick to make a slit along the back from the head to the tail end of the shrimp. Look for the black sand vein and carefully remove it.
- Mix all ingredients except oil in a bowl. Cover and chill for 4 hours.
- Wipe the rectangular pan with sesame oil and arrange the shrimps in single layer.
- Pre-heat oven to 170 °C. Bake at 170 °C for 10 to 12 minutes or until shrimp are pink and firm.Add some lettuce leaves and tomato catsup for garnishing. Serve immediately while it is hot.
