Habitat: Evergreen forests, walls & Banks, dry areas.

Description: Annual herbs, 10- 30 cm tall; stem glandular-villous. Leaves opposite, 2-4 x 1- 3 cm, ovate, acute, crenate-serrate, pubescent below; lateral nerves 5 pairs; petiole to 2 cm long. Flowers solitary, axillary, subsessile. Calyx 0.5 cm long, glandular villous, lobes as long as the tube, ovate-oblong, obtuse. Corolla 1 cm long, sparsely pubescent outside, throat villous, yellow with purple blotches at mouth, throat with a 2-plicate palate; 2-lipped; upper lip shortly 2- lobed; lower with 3 rounded lobes. Stamens didynamous; anther cells 2, stalked, both perfect. Ovary ovoid, glabrous, style filiform. Capsule 3 mm long, oblong, hairy at apex; seeds minute, ellipsoid-oblong.
