Description: Bougainvillea x buttiana (a cross between B. glabra and B. peruviana) is a perennial evergreen vine used as ornamental thorny plant, can grow in Mediterranean, subtropics or tropics climate. The tiny thorns along its stems, which it uses to clamber through trees. Leaves are green with oval shape. Flower color is white yellowish, the size of the flower 1-2 mm, bracts looks like petals. The colorful papery ‘blooms’ are not flowers but modified leaves called bracts that come in threes, surrounding the true flowers which are white, trumpet shaped and almost unnoticeable within the bracts. the color of the bracts can be: magenta-rose, pink, purple.
