I had been having hip problems for several years and eventually went to the doctor. She got me on the waiting list for a new one, and quite soon I was in hospital having it! When I woke up from the operation I felt better already! (To be fair it might have been the drugs...). But actually I could stand up and even walk straightaway. Amazing!
I've been in hospital quite a lot this year, what with one thing and another, and the main thing you take away from it is how wonderful all the staff are. Friendly, professional, helpful.
I was in A & E for 6 hours or so and I'd just like to say what an uplifting experience it was. All the staff were amazing. They were understaffed of course, but that's certainly not their fault. They were brilliant in very busy conditions.
All the patients were calm and quiet too. No one complained of the delay, even though many of us waited 5-6 hours. Everyone just sat quietly, occasionally chatting to their neighbours, helping each other out.
Thank you to all of you.
