Miscellaneous stuff which doesn't go anywhere else. The garden looked good this year (before the blazing heat dried up the grass). But we had to get rid of our box trees. We're still planning what to do with the space (these things take time!) Actually everything seems to take longer to start somehow - we seem to have perfected the art of putting things off...ho hum...
We went to a nice exhibition of Munch paintings in the Courtauld Gallery, which gave us the chance to revisit some of our favourite Cézannes.
We also had a bit of a clear out, selling some stuff on Gumtree - the camp-bed below, the garden shredder, even some old tea chests. I didn't have the cheek to sell them for £95 (their price on Etsy!).
Mike had an unexpected invite from someone who had worked with him in the 1980s. He was giving a talk thanking everyone who had helped him in his career. What a lovely idea! (See picture below).
Our garden in June.
A visit to the Much exhibition at the Courtauld Gallery
And a chance to see one of our favourite Cézanne paintings.
Preparation for being old..... grab handles in the bathroom. Sigh...
We sold my dad's old camp-bed. A bit sad but ... well .. stuff .. you know.
Our box, afflicted by box moth, finally had to come out.
Actually it didn't look too bad when it was all cleared.
We took cuttings of Euonymus as a box replacement.
