HOME 2021 FAMILY CORONAVIRUS LAKES NORFOLK PROJECTS GIGS MISCELLANEOUS
Projects were conspicuous by their scarcity this year. Last year they kept us going, but this year the novelty had worn off I think.
Some things were achieved however. We made a new CD shelf in the kitchen. All the wall space is used now, so it has to last us out. Mike has drawn a graph to keep our CD buying levels on track. Kate did quite a lot of knitting, including a new hat for Mike and one of those neck-warmer things, which we are calling "The Ruff".
Mike and Chris rescued his garage door when it decided to get stuck shut. Very satisfying. Mike's Art Class continued an online meet-up every Tuesday morning, with homework each week. Quite impressive actually, looking back. One week the homework was 'maps' (see imaginary map of our street below). Face to face classes resumed in September.
Kate's yoga continued with a mixutre of Zoom and face to face classes. Kate helped organise three repiar cafés, with one being filmed as part of an ITN documentary 'Replace or Repair?' She extremely relieved that her interview ended up on the cutting room floor.
Lastly a new shelf in our chiffonier, which started like in Mike's great grandmother's house. "Is that all?" you ask. I'm sure there are things I've forgotten...
Kate dug out more lovely yarns...
New shelf in chiffonier, with assorted inherited china. I know it's not much - but even little successes are good for morale!
I need to tidy my desk in 2022! First new year's resolution...
Idealised map of our road, Netherhall Way.
A rare sight - tidy workbench.
CD shelves being made...
Chris and I successfully opened his defunct garage door! Yay!
The new CD shelf for the kitchen.
New CD shelf padded out with some cups. We'll have to buy more CDs...
Wallpapering! Arrgghhhh! never again.... Anyway, see next photo for the final result....
New book case in the landing.
