In May we decided to go to Wales, to a house we'd been to twice before. It just seemed easiest somehow, and we knew we liked it. Not very adventurous I know but - hey!
Even going on walks we'd been twice before was enjoyable - they were starting to be like old friends. We didn't go on the Talyllyn Railway this time, but we went to a Red Kite feeding station and watched hundreds of Kites swooping down for the food. Amazing.
We also climbed up to the lake, Llyn Cau, on Cadair Idris - we possibly could have been able to go on to the top, but Mike was a bit tired and creaky, so we didn't risk it. Very sensible (at his great age).
On the way back we stopped off at some Roman ruins at Wroxeter. They still stand very high, after all this time. Pretty impressive.

Wroxeter. You can see a re-constructed Roman Villa in the distance which was fun.
