In April Kate organised a short holiday in the Lakes. We felt we needed a bit of a boost after Mike broke his shoulder, after being accidentally pushed over in the London Underground. We decided to stay in Keswick so Mike could go to George Fisher's Outdoor shop to buy a new pair of boots. His old Brashers were getting a bit past it, but the new Meindls were comfortable from day one, amazingly! We didn't do anything too strenuous - a walk round Buttermere, of course, and Castle Head (531 feet) near Keswick.

If Kate had stood here in the 2015 floods, the water would have been over her head!
