In June we went for a holiday in Wales. We decided to get a house near Talyllyn Lake, which is where the Boursnell family used to go when Mike was a young lad, in the 50s and 60s.
We visited various places that Mike remembered: the narrow-gauge Talyllyn Railway, Cadair Idris, and the cottage by the lake that he stayed in all those years ago (Ty Pridd).
We also visited the Centre For Alternative Technology in Machynlleth, which was one of the earliest places to focus on green technologies.
Our creaking joints and general wear and tear mean we don’t go up big mountains at the moment, but we went up to the lake on Cadair Idris, and really enjoyed it.
