Here are a few random pictures. We used to have a section called ‘Walks’ or ‘Outdoors’ or ‘Visits’, but now it all goes in here.
On our visit in early April to John and Holly in Glasgow, they took us to the Antonine Wall, which was the Roman wall quite a way North of Hadrian’s Wall. Surprisingly, since it was mainly a turf wall, quite a bit of it remains, as you can see in the pictures.
Another outing was to Bletchley Park with Phil and Katie, where there were loads of excellent display about the decoding work done during the war, and there was even a lady who had worked there talking about one of the decoding ‘bombes’.
On a visit to Sue and Andy’s in Broughton-in -Furness, we went to a sheep auction! Surprisingly exciting. Luckily we didn’t accidentally buy any sheep.
Mike and Chris have been involved in a project to make a wooden box for Chris’s Dominion cards (gaming cards). We were looking for a piece of wood in the shed which had to be exactly the right thickness, and then Chris saw a piece marked ‘USE THIS’. It fitted exactly. We think it is evidence of time travel, our future selves popping back to help our present selves. What else could it be?
