HOME 2021 FAMILY CORONAVIRUS LAKES NORFOLK PROJECTS GIGS MISCELLANEOUS
Because of the coronavirus we didn't get to see family at all in the first bit of the year.
One exciting bit of news is that Chris has bought a new house! It's in Teversham, just outside Cambridge, in a nice area, with a small garden. He's already painted most of the walls, and had a new floor fitted.
In March we got over to Birmingham to see Kate's brother Pete and Jane.
In May, while we were staying in The Lakes, we met up with John, Holly and Hana near Moffat in Scotland. Hana moved a lot of pieces of gravel! Very determined.
In July Kate organised a logistically challenging 'family get together' near Penrith, with four generations: Kate's mum, us, John and Holly, and of course Hana. Nan and Hana got on really well, and a splendid time was had by all.
In August John, Holly and baby Hana came and stayed with us for ten days, which was lovely. We had a major campaign to tidy the house and make it reasonably safe for a toddler. Actually the most exciting thing for Hana was a stone 'gargoyle' we have in the garden! You never know. But I think she had a good time, and we got to know her much better which was really nice. We're not putting pictures of her online until she's old enough to decide for herself.
Hopefully they will be coming down from Glasgow at Christmas time, but obviously it depends on the virus, and how this new strain behaves.
