At the end of October we had a holiday in Northumberland, staying in Seahouses. We went to a new museum/exhibition thing called Ad Gefrin. This was to celebrate the Kings of Northumbria (Bernicia) in the Early Middle Ages. We had both been reading Max Adam's book 'The King In The North' about King Oswald, and were keen to visit this new centre. It was very interesting and highly recommended. We sat in thrones!
We also went to Alnwick for a day, and found a museum with a display on artists who illustrated the Ladybird Books. Very nostalgic! We also went to the second hand bookshop, and managed to restrain ourselves from buying anything...
The weather wasn't great, to be honest, but we had a bit of sunshine (see photos) and bravely managed to enjoy ourselves.
We revisited Lindisfarne, and the Priory. We even bought a fancy bottle of mead!
