When we were in lockdown at the start of the pandemic last year, the weather was glorious and it somehow didn't seem so bad having to stay at home and do lots of projects. But by the time of the lockdown during Christmas 2020 and January 2021, the novelty had well and truly worn off! We struggled a bit with the cold dark days, and the feeling of "When the hell's this going to end?"
Obviously the huge success of the vaccines was a real boost to morale, and the efficiency and friendliness of the people at the vaccination centres was very uplifting. The first vaccination particularly was emotionally very moving.
