HOME 2023 AMSTERDAM SUFFOLK NORTHUMBERLAND OUTINGS GIGS MISCELLANEOUS
'Outings' means visits to other parts of the country, apart from holidays or gigs. We visited friends in Dorset, and also in Hampshire. In Dorset we went to Corfe Castle, which had a lovely atmosphere. You can see the activities in the pictures below - archery etc! You could even dress up in medieval 'weeds'.
In Hampshire we hunted snake's head fritillaries and walked round some Roman Walls of Calleva Atrebatum (Silchester) and Dave fixed a tuning peg on Mike's banjo.
We went to a couple of wonderful art exhibitions. One was a Cézanne exhibition at the Tate Modern, and the other was an amazing David Hockney show in the Lightroom in London. We also went to the exhibition of Paul McCartney's photos at the National Portrait Gallery. They were just printed as he took them, with no cropping. Really good photos - we were very impressed!
