We had a holiday in the Lakes booked for May, but we had to cancel it because of the first Lockdown. The owners kindly said they'd move it to September, so we agreed. Luckily September was in a bit of a lull, viruswise, so we could go ahead. Chris stayed in our house and John, Holly and Hana stayed in a second house, and we met up outside for walks. It was brilliant seeing everyone together. We also got to know Hana a bit better, having only seen her before when she was tiny. We even got smiles!

Now when John was young I never managed to get those baby back packs to work somehow. Too wriggly?

Our first view of the hills. Always an exciting moment, especially when you live in on the edge of the fens.

We went on a walk which Wainwright described as "Admirably suited to old and rickety fellwalkers long past their prime". Ideal!
Hana was always so well behaved. Amazing! Must be good parenting!
The house was lovely and spacious
