P-Top 100 - World Top 100 Mountains by Prominence

This world peaklist, first introduced to BwB for 2021, highlights the 100 mountains with the greatest prominence in the world, including some lesser known, but very prominent, peaks.

The peak with the lowest prominence in this category is Gyala Peri (Tibet and China) 7294m, P2942m.  The highest and most prominent world peak is, of course, Mount Everest (as known to westerners) 8849m, P8849m.

This Table will appeal to those with a high level of mountaineering skills, although not all peaks on the list are technical climbs.  Some can be accessed just by hiking.

The full list can be viewed on the Peakbagger website here:

https://www.peakbagger.com/list.aspx?lid=403

This Table has a Hall of Fame, and, from 2022, a Roll of Honour, but no Progress Register.

To enter the P-Top 100 Hall of Fame you need to have reached the summits of at least 10 peaks worldwide.

Bronze awards are given at 20 peaks, Silver awards at 35 peaks and Gold at 50 peaks.

The current P-Top 100 HoFMeisters are Denise and Richard McLellan

Denise and Richard live in Birmingham, England, UK.  They enjoy exploring new hills and mountainous areas, both in the UK and all over the world, bagging peaks, trig pillars, cut marks and islands.

Internationally, they focus on the world Ultras (P1500m), Majors (P600m) and country high points.  Richard was the second person recorded on the Peakbagger website to complete all the European Ultras, and they were in 3rd and 4th positions in the 2022 BwB Ultras Table.  In the UK Denise is focusing on the Munros, having missed out when she was younger, while Richard, who has completed all the Marilyns (P150m), is focused on the Humps (P100m).
