BwB Journal August 2023

The BwB Journal 2023 – August Edition

This is the third edition of the BwB Journal. It is hoped that the Journal will continue with one or two editions each year, providing there are sufficient articles to publish in each edition.

My thanks go again to all who have contributed articles. There was an excellent response to my call for them this year.  Not all have been published in this edition, as the editorial aim is to cover a mix of topics from different people in each edition and avoid duplication. If your article is not in this edition, it will be published in the next later this year.

In this edition seven articles appear.  Five of the seven continents are represented in these articles.  The pieces are a mix of peak-bagging reports or about a particular area, range or mountain.  For the first time a new opinion column is featured as the last article.  This piece came out of a very lively discussion on the BwB Forum earlier this year (see here and here).  It would be good if someone could write another view on the issues covered, to feature in the next edition.  I would like the last article in all future editions to be on a topic that may divide people in their views, and I am grateful to Richard Harbron for taking on the task for this edition.

I wish you all a safe and fruitful bagging (near) half-year, whether it be summer or winter where you are.
