Rationale: Schools participate in A2A to have a profound impact on student learning. To have such impact means setting big goals, and creating attainable plans to achieve them. This process is much like a journey to an important destination. Just as following a road map without a clearly defined route won’t get you to your destination, following vague and ambiguously-defined goals without a clear plan are unlikely to help us achieve our desired outcomes for student learning. Articulating clear goals and the steps we will take to meet them help us stay focused and effectively make progress toward identified priorities.
Learning Intention: In order to tangibly improve learning outcomes for students, teams will set a vision for student learning through the A2A project, identify the concrete goals and collaborative actions that adults in their building will take throughout SY 2023-2024
Success Criteria: Teams will know they are successful when they…
Set a goal for student learning at the end of the A2A project
Quantify a student proficiency goal for the end of the 23-24 school year
Reinforce their understanding of implementation planning and associated goal setting therein
have backwards mapped year-long goals aligned to two of the three project objectives (data use and collaboration) and connected them to student learning outcomes
