Preparing for Site Visits

Rationale: Receiving feedback on implementation efforts assists teams with staying on track with and holding themselves accountable for school improvement efforts. The direct coaching that leaders receive through A2A site visits help School Transformation Teams identify areas of opportunity, learn and break down specific skills into bite-sized actions, and regularly practice skills in an effort to support implementation of practices that will positively impact students at their school.

Learning Intention: Teams will develop and understanding of the what, why, and how of A2A site visits for the 2023-2024 school year and gain familiarity with the appraisal process that will occur on site visit #1

Success Criteria: Teams will know they are successful when they…

• understand the rationale for engaging in site visits within Assessment to Achievement

• understand the logistics of site visits and the specific supports they will receive through them

• are familiar with the appraisal process that will occur during site visit 1 and have co-determined appraisal activities with their coaches
