Introduction to Effective Feedback

Rationale: Effective classroom feedback is more than just giving students information—it’s about helping them grow. When teachers connect feedback to clear learning goals and give it at the right time, students are more likely to use it to improve. To make feedback meaningful for everyone, classrooms should be safe spaces where students and teachers feel comfortable giving and receiving feedback.

Learning Intention: Teams will develop a shared understanding of what makes feedback safe, purposeful, and timely, before planning the right way to implement these feedback elements at their schools.
