Instructional Cycles, Assessment, and the CLC

Rationale: Keeping a narrow focus on student achievement helps align our efforts and maintain a cohesive focus. By ensuring the Common Learning Challenge is applicable and assessable in every grade and subject, teams can reap the benefits of having a clear, meaningful direction to their work.

Learning Intention: Teams will develop their ability to plan and use instructional cycles and associated short-term data as a tool for monitoring student progress toward the Common Learning Challenge.

• have solidified their understanding of the role of the High-Quality Instructional Cycle framework in achieving priorities identified within the Common Learning Challenge

• have planned short-term instructional cycles that they will engage in to instruct and monitor student progress toward Common Learning Challenge priorities
