Rationale: Collective analysis of summative student performance data helps educators identify successes and ongoing opportunities related to student performance goals. This exercise can improve student learning by increasing individual and collective ownership of school improvement goals, grade-level student growth targets, and professional learning efforts. From this analysis, if we orient findings to a Common Learning Challenge, we establish a clear line of sight into what the data showed us, and what we plan to do about it.
Learning Intention: Teams will assess progress of student learning with the summative assessments they administered in the Spring of 2023; identify strengths and concerns in student achievement; and discuss the possible narrow focus to take in their improvement efforts for SY23-24. From this, participants will identify a Common Learning Challenge that can be a focal point in improvement efforts for the upcoming school year.
Success Criteria: Teams will know they are successful when they…
have identified strengths and opportunities of all students, based on analysis of summative assessment data (i.e. RISE, Acadience, ACT, UA+)
can articulate a Common Learning Challenge of focus for the upcoming school year
