Triptychs

For this assignment, we were instructed to create three separate triptychs one being a self-portrait triptych. Triptych art is made up of three different photographs that are combined into one complete photo. The three panels become one unified piece of work/one image. Triptych art is still defined as a work of art divided into three sections, but comprised into one piece. I made a triptych of myself (self-portrait) and I also chose to make one of my friends Lia, and my best friends Nora and Clio who are twins. I like the self-portrait of myself because I did some interesting angles/viewpoints with each of the three photos. I like the photo of Lia because it is different from the other two triptychs that I made because it doesn't look like one image but it looks different, not connected in one piece but in separate photos. But my favorite is the one of Nora and Clio (the twins) because I like how the fact that they are twins and somewhat identical that it adds a different nuance to the image. I also like the colors in the way I edited their images. The triptych I made of the twins is the only one where I edited each of the three photos before I edited them together in triptych form which I think elevated the quality of the photos individually so more specialized to each image alone. Overall I would call the assignment successful for me and I am proud of the art I produced.
