Rainbow Project

For this assignment titled ‘Rainbow Project,’ we were instructed to take 6 photos each that represent a color of the rainbow, Red, Orange, Yellow, green, Blue, and Purple. The entire photo doesn't need to be the color, but the viewer of the image should be able to tell that the color in the photo is the main focus point and the point of the photo. For the assignment, I experimented with the color select tool in Photoshop, and using layer coloring and the black and white layer, and enhancing the color of the color I was trying to draw extension to in the given photo. I also explored a lot with the hue and saturation layer as well and created the shade of the color I wanted for the photo. I really like the photo entitled ‘Red’ because it is kind of a play on words if you know the album thats in the photo, It is an album by the artist Rhianna and the part of the color of the album that I selected is red. The other image I like a lot is the photo entitled ‘Blue’ because it almost looks electric (in the writing on the bottles) because of the hue saturation edits I applied to it. And lastly, I really like the image entitled ‘Purple’ because they are genuinely very pretty flowers and the composition of them is nice because I like how there is also green in the photo with the stems but the purple of the petals is what you are really drawn to in the photo. If I were to do anything differentially If i did this project again would just be to explore different eagles of how I could do it and different methods.
