For this assignment, we were instructed to explore the effects of Photoshop and explore how to use them. We were assigned to create a portrait photo with a background effect that had the portrait and the background blended together. This assignment was actually super tricky for me personally. I struggled a little with learning how to use the effects on Photoshop. I think that my final product is pretty good though, if I were to change something about my final product though I would blend the back layer photo more so it's not a straight like cut of the silhouette of the subject. I could not figure out how to make some of the effects shown in the instructions to work for me but I tried my best and there were only one or two effects that didn't end up working in the process. I really like the blue hue/color of the image though because it's actually the color of the dress that I was wearing in the original portrait image (though you can't tell because it was desaturated in the editing process) but I think that it compliments the picture very well. Overall I would say that the assignment definitely helped with knowing how to navigate Photoshop as a whole.
