WhatchamaDRAWit

The objective of the “Watchamadrawit project” is to make an art piece based on a completely random prompt. So the main idea that guided my Whatchamadrawit art piece was my prompt which was “Draw a ghost having a pillow fight with a pirate.” The funny thing about this art piece that I was trying to display/say is that a ghost can be hit by the pillow that the pirate is swinging at it even though ghosts can’t usually be hit with anything, I just thought that that would be funny.

To create my piece I started by using charcoal paper, then I used a 2H pencil to lightly sketch my objects. I used charcoal pencils and charcoal sticks and blended as well to add to the sketch!

At first, I thought that I was going to draw the pirate as like a human but then I decided that I would do a skeleton pirate instead. I also initially thought that I was going to draw a ghost with like legs and arms and all but then I decided to make the whole drawing more cartoon/animated ish and I thought that this type of ghost would look more cartoon-like and same with the skeleton.
