Words And Images

For this project, the instructions were to use Photoshop digital media editing app to create three pieces of artwork. These artworks had to be portrait photographs where we used blending modes and colorizing to create images where the words shown on the photo as well as the photo itself. I created all 3 of my images by using Photoshop and either changing a layer into black and white or using the colorized method to make the image look unique and cool and just by playing with the different features of Photoshop overall.

For my second words and images photo I decided to make the image with the word on it in Black and white so the letters were in black so they would show up well on the photo of Parker that I took, and I used one of the blending modes, so it allowed there to be a spotlight on the center of the image/subject/Parker where the words were shown. I kept the light showing on his face so it would make him look kind of quirky/crazy/mysterious so the text would fit the concept of the photo. I feel that my edits made this image interesting and better than the original in that it highlighted the Subject quite well giving it that crazy look and the text went very well with the photo itself and with Parker's expression, because of those edits. 

My favorite of my three “words and images” Images was my first one of my friend Rihanna. I  like this one because I feel that the text and meaning go hand in hand with what she's doing in the photo. Rihanna was working on her laptop and I thought that the text “ How I Live Now”  fit very well for the scenario because Technology is how we as a society live now and everything is done with technology these days.
