For this assignment titled ‘Photography Challenge,’ we were instructed to take 20 photos each with a prompt, such as eye, or something blue, or what you are wearing, or changes to come. The prompts are to give you something to take a picture of but can also be interpreted in many different ways which I think is super interesting. The challenging part is that you have to take 20 photos, all with different prompts which is a lot to take on for just one assignment. What went well for me for this project was that I didn't have trouble interpreting the prompts in my own way, but what was challenging for me were just a few of the prompts like a god habit, and celebration, I dont really know why these two prompts were specifically difficult for me but perhaps it was because they aren't things that I usually take photos of. My favorite images that I took are what you are wearing, obsession, the edge of something, in my bag, and black & white, I like these images because of the edits I applied to them and I just think that the compositions worked out well. I like the in my bag photo because it’s unique to me, I took photos of what is in my soccer bag and I like how I could explain a story for each object. I like the Black & White photo because it gives a like 80’s/ 90’s vibe to it, I know that in the ’80s things were all very vibrant colors but I think the fact that it's in a shopping store and just the aesthetic gives 80’s and I like that about it. I love the Obsession image because I am truly obsessed with records and I think that they are the coolest thing, the photo is super cool because I like how the saturation is up and it kind of has an old film look which goes perfectly with the theme of records and I just love the colors in the photo and the composition as a whole. Overall I think that this project was very successful for me personally and I really enjoyed the prompts for taking the photos and editing the images however I liked and saw fit for them to fit the prompts.
