This assignment is called sustain investigation. Sustaining investigation means concentrating on a specific aspect or theme that responds to a made-up inquiry question that  the photographer has created. The inquiry question is one that doesn't necessarily have a correct answer but is on the basis of a concept or an exploration of a topic or theme. Overall the assignment is designed I think to encourage us as photographers to use our photographic eye to look at a specific aspect of the world that we are interested in and focus on showing the aspects of that thing. For this assignment, we were instructed to take 15 photos on our sustain investigation topic that we came up with independently. My sustain investigation is on the basis of blurriness/movement in a photo, my Inquiry question was “How does movement/blurriness in a photo capture the moment in which the photo was taken more than if It were still?” I had the idea to do this for my sustain investigation project because  I realized that I naturally take a lot of photos that are blurry or have movement in them because I really just like the look of how the aesthetic of those types of photos looks. With this project originally I did have some trouble deciding on an inquiry question and a topic/ theme to focus on for my sustain investigation project but once I decided the photos came very naturally to me and I think that they all turned out great. With this project, I really wanted to capture how movement or blurriness in a photo captures the moment that the photo was taken in a way that it makes the photo feel alive or more organic in a way that it wasn't posed or propped. I think that overall this assignment was a huge success for me and I had a lot of fun with it and I think the photos turned out great. Out of the 15 photos I took for this assignment I would say that my favorite photo is photo 7. I like photo 7 the most because of the effect the motion and blurriness gives the moment in which the photo was taken, It makes it look like we are traveling like into a different time or a different world and it gives the effect that the image is like edited but it actually isnt it is just long exposure (a live photo on long exposure) and it turned out super cool.
