For this assignment titled ‘Nothingness,’ we were instructed to take 6 photos but create 3 final compositions of work. Basically what I did was take a picture of a scene with a subject in the photo and then that same scene without the subject in the photo and used the Photoshop editing app to take away the parts of the subject I decided to take away and leave some part in order to create an interesting composition with parts of a person missing and looking like they are hiding behind some of the background. The thing that I am most proud of accomplishing in this project is that I think that I took some good photos with my digital camera and I can say now that I think I understand the steps of this project within Photoshop that I could do it without a guid. If I were to have done any of this project differently I would have taken some photos outside of school and maybe just played with the idea further and maybe even created a fourth composition but I lost my camera and then I found it so I was only able to take photo’s within the school but I think they actually came out great! One thing that I did struggle with during this project was aligning the images, I did figure out how to do it at the end but it was a small struggle initially. My favorite final product of a photo that I made was either the first one which is of my friend Phobe because I think the the parts I took away and the fact it was like a grid made a very interesting composition. But I also like the third one I made which is of my friend Rhianna because her stare was very captivating and her outfit was on point and it just looked candid, additionally, my edits made the photo even better by adjusting the lighting and saturation. Overall proud of the work I composed in this assignment!
