The main idea that guided my artwork was the drawing of my Nike blazer. I zoomed in on a part of the stitching near the toe of it and made the drawing bigger, I then kept zooming in two more times to the point where there were only 3 lines left on the paper. I chose the third zoomed-in drawing of mine which was the most zoomed-in one and drew it again bigger and then started to brainstorm what the lines looked like and what I could transform them into. What I chose at the end after starting over three times, was a bunch of modern art kind of drawings that I thought were simple, neat, and plain but still beautiful.

The materials I used for these drawings were an 11” x 15” piece of watercolor paper, a 2H graphite pencil, lots of different colored markers, and a precise fine-tip pen for little details. For each one of the circles, I used a small ball gar to trace and to make sure that they would be perfect circles to look like the modern art look that I was going for.

I tried doing two different drawings for my zoomed shoe before settling on the third one. The first one I actually painted and it was a landscape of pine trees I was going to paint the rest of the sections in different seasons, but I changed my mind about working with paint and decided to use markers instead and that's when I decided on an abstract modern art look. My first attempt at drawing modern art didn't go so well but my second attempt went much better, for the first section my inspiration came from a photo I took in Rome Italy of a window display in a fancy clothing store, and then the other sections I thought of other kinds of modern art things I could try to draw and drew them.
