For this project, we had to use wire and pliers to form fishhook connections that firmly connect together. The first thing we had to do was make a link of 10 pieces of wire with fishhook connections which had to stand up. This was pretty hard but not as much as I anticipated it would be. Then we practiced by making boxes that we connected to make a box and a thinner wire with our initials on it. Eventually, we began the final summative wire project which I chose to do a heart-shaped type of bowl that I think looks cool and shows love!

The wired tower, Wire box, failed wire water bottle, and wire heart bowl were all made with 18 gauge wire and I used pliers and wire cutters as well.

Originally I started by creating a wire sculpture of my water bottle as shown in the photo but then I decided that it wasn’t working and didn't look how I wanted it to look so I started over and chose to do the heart-shaped bowl. I think that the bowl looks really good and I like it a lot better than my original idea.
