Candy Still Life

Artist Statement:

The story with this art piece was we made a candy collage with candy and glued it onto a small piece of paper, then start to draw the outlines of the drawing on a seperate piece of paper.

This art piece relates to my life because my favorite type of candy is sour patch kids. I found out I started to love them when I tried then for the first time when I was at a friends birthday party for my friend. They were very sweet to me and I loved the colors of the packaging.

The process of this piece was drawing a outline of the sour patch kids package glued on the paper with the sour patch kids, as well. Then I started to color it in with chalk, water color, and colored pencils. My favorite part of this piece was adding the color to the drawing it really brought the drawing to life.
