2D Design Reflection

This year has been a wild and crazy ride. Struggling with all the craziness going on in the world to highschool online. Being in this class helped me stay creative even when times are tough, being able to create what is happening in my head! I have improved a lot this year, from the beautiful oops to my sustained investigation.

The project I enjoyed doing the most was our stars and stripes re- design. I wanted to create a piece that could show something that I am passionate about and to have a deeper meaning. Breonna Taylor's killers have not been arrested and she has not gotten justice for what happened to her. Her injustice is not the only case and I wanted to have that surrounded by the colors red white and blue to show that there needs to be changed in our country and it needs to start now.

The process that challenged me the most was the Acorn self portrait. I did not realize that this piece was supposed to be super detailed with the defined lines on the face, and when seeing everyone else's compared to mine I was disappointed with the outcome. If I were to re-do it, I would definitely choose a better photo to edit.

Art relates to my life because art is one of my favorite things to do. Whether it is the performing arts, or creating artwork, it is my favorite thing to do. I have enjoyed high school so far, and the art class has been one of my favorites. I am so excited to continue and have the opportunity to take more classes in the future!
