Artist Statement:

For my investigation, I want to highlight insecurities and show their beauty.

This first insecurity that I wanted to highlight was body image. I have struggled with my own body image over the years and wanted to show the hidden words within the piece that have affected me over the years.

For materials I used graphite pencils to first sketch it out. I then went over the work in pen making the lines of the work defined. I then wanted to make a thermal look to the body itself with the colors.
