The CPS Director, following appropriate procedures and provisions, appoints CELP, FPEL, FPMT, and FPCS Course Leaders.
Ensure that all sections of the same course use the same core teaching materials, including tests and exams.
Encourage the sharing of supplementary materials among teachers.
Plan and coordinate with the Assessment Unit on the creation, revision, and moderation of tests.
Prepare required course documents, such as pacing/work schedules, in collaboration with the Central Curriculum Committee.
Ensure the preparation, timetabling, administration, and marking of course tests, assessments, and examinations, liaising with relevant committees.
Chair course meetings.
Collect and archive course assessment data using the appropriate software (currently Moodle & MS Excel).
Coordinate with the departmental coordinator on print orders to ensure timely completion and delivery by the Print Press.
Oversee student-related issues within the course(s).
Ensure teachers keep the Student Affairs Officer informed about student attendance and welfare issues through the online referral system.
Liaise with the Central Curriculum Committee to develop and implement curricula.
Follow up with the departmental Project Committee on finalized projects and recommendations.
Liaise with the Assessment Unit and Central Curriculum Committee concerning continuous assessment and the testing matrix.
Refer final exam scripts and the Excel assessment sheet to the Appeal Committee at the end of each semester for appeal cases.
Collaborate with the Student Support Committee to develop and promote academic support and independent learning opportunities.
Complete loading sheets in coordination with the HoD.
