Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct

Ethics are a key pillar in the survival and advancement of nations in all felids, as they constitute the foundation for the management of successful and productive human interaction, leading to civility, progress, civilization, reform, and stability. As Sultan Qaboos University strives to maintain its pioneering role in the fields of teaching and learning and community service; to maintain its excellence in the quality of its innovative scientific research, its outcomes, and its strategic partnerships; and to fulfill its mission by promoting the principles of scientific analysis and creative thinking within a stimulating academic environment, participating in the production, development, and dissemination of knowledge, and engaging with local and international communities; it must therefore commit to a set of ethical and professional values and ideals which align with the legislative, legal, and cultural system of the Sultanate of Oman in general, and of the University in particular. 

This Code aims to urge the members of Sultan Qaboos University, and those of similar standing, to uphold professional ethics and conducts that reinforce the spirit of belonging, complementarity, giving, and pride in the university and the country, in an environment that reflects the moral, religious and civilizational heritage that the Sultanate of Oman has distinguished itself with throughout the time.  For more information and details, click on the link below.
