Thursday 4th September - Members attended the "Live Longer Better" event at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield where they had 50 in the room with enough to dance 5 squares plus a square from Waggoners who intermingled by acting as "Angels". Towards the end of the session they were very pleased to be joined by Angela Rippon (in the white trouser suit) who had already visited other various activities. After watching a whole Tip (patter and singing call) she joined Waggoners members in a Square. .
Monday 8th September - Trudy was away with family commitments so Simon called for us with a guest patter call from David (Penny was also away visiting family). We had two squares and were pleased to welcome a visitor, Alan, a former Waggoners member from years ago. It was the birthday of one of our founder members, Pat, so we sang to her and also to Michael D, celebrating later this week.
We gained a new member when Peter G, who has been coming to dance with us over the past couple of months, decided to join us and we welcomed him with a round of applause.
Monday 15th September - With Trudy still away in Dorset looking after family, Simon called for three squares on his own with a full guest tip from Penny and guest patter from David who, due to a sore throat, was unable to sing. For her singing call Penny had personalised the words to "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" to make it relevant to this evening's "Completion" for our Students, Val, Susan and Mihaela.
After Val, Susan and Mihaela had been presented with their club badges and certificates we all enjoyed our Pot Luck supper with teas and coffees supplied by David and Gill S. followed by more dancing.

Saturday 20th September -
51st Birthday Dance - We were very pleased to welcome Philip Mee as our caller for this afternoon's dance. There were 8 squares dancing for most of the Tips and during the break we enjoyed tea and coffee together with cakes supplied by the members.
For more photos and information about the event, see page "Waggoners 51st Birthday Dance"
Monday 22nd September - We were very pleased to welcome back Trudy following her absence while she was looking after family and we danced three squares. Simon and Trudy explained some of the moves that Philip Mee had called at our dance on Saturday, such as "Scoot Back from a Quarter Tag", and which had caused a bit of confusion.
Val, Susan and Mihaela were presented with their "Completion Certificates", now signed by Trudy, Simon, Penny and David, and this was followed by a small celebration with tea, coffee and cakes left over from Saturday.
Friday 26th September - Sunday 28th September - Penny, Bob, Janet and David went to the Hogsmill Squares "Bournemouth Bonanza" where they danced Plus and A1 to Granville Spencer and Ian Turvill. During the weekend both Penny and David called a Tip and were warmly received by the dancers.
Monday 29th September While Trudy and Simon were away, our callers this evening were Penny and David. With everyone, except the caller, dancing we were short of one person for two squares but, rather than have 7 dancers sitting out on every tip, we decided to "ghost" it. Luckily David S had his trusty bag of balloons with him (also his ukulele - but no one asked him to play!) and he soon produced a balloon "ghost lady" to fill in the gap in the square. This caused great amusement as the lady was passed from man to man as the tip progressed. Rather a change from their partner of a few weeks ago - Angela Rippon at the "Live Longer Better" event!
We wished a Happy Birthday to Peter G, singing to him in the usual manner, and he brought along chocolates to share with us all.
