Monday 3rd March 2025 - With three squares and a few spares we were very cosy in the Dining Hall this evening dancing to Trudy and Simon and with guest tips from Penny and David. Penny had re-written the lyrics of her singing call, "We'll Meet Again" in honour of our Autumn Students, Elaine and Colin, who were dancing with us for the last time before moving to the Greater Manchester area next week. Elaine and Colin brought along a tub of "Heroes" for everyone to share. We were pleased to be visited by Bob P, Dave R and Allan H with Dave and Bob joining in with the dancing while Allan enjoyed chatting with members. We sang Happy Birthday to Jenny H and Allan H whose birthdays are this week and enjoyed home-made biscuits from Marion to celebrate Mick's birthday, also this week. At the end of the evening we all posed for a photo together.
Thursday 6th March 2025 - Bob, Penny, Maggie, Marion, Mick, Helen, Michael, Wendy, Janet and David went to the Old Time Music Hall performed by the Kimpton Players at Kimpton Memorial Hall. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, joining in with the singing, laughing at the jokes and eating our cheese platters and seafood.
We were met at the hall by Muriel who was Stage Manager for the production.
Monday 10th March 2025 -
"Completion" evening - We were very pleased to welcome Marion, Mick, Muriel, Helen, Michael, Penny and Wendy as full members of Waggoners after they had completely learned the Mainstream programme.

Monday 17th March 2025 - Another evening of dancing in the warm Dining Hall with three squares enjoying the calling of Trudy and Simon plus guest tips from Penny and David. Members carried on enjoying the sweets brought for us last week by those who had just "Completed" and were now full Waggoners members.
Monday 24th March 2025 - Dancing three squares to Trudy, Simon, Penny and David, we were pleased to welcome Carol, a friend of Maggie's, who has been a Square Dancer for even longer than Maggie! We were also very pleased to welcome back our member, Roy, who has not been able to come and dance with us for some time due to health issues. Our Autumn Student was shown how to "Swing Thru" and introduced to "Runs". For the third week members enjoyed sweets from the very large tin of Quality Street, brought three weeks ago and now all eaten! Barbara brought along some Square Dance clothes - Marion was trying on a petticoat when she was called into a square!
Monday 31st March 2025 - With the clocks going forward over the weekend, we were able to set out for Waggoners in daylight for the first time this year. Trudy was unable to join us so Simon called on his own to two squares but with guest tips from Penny and David. The only Student present, Susan, was shown how to "Pass to the Centre". It was Gill's birthday and, as well as us singing to her, she brought along chocolates for everyone to share. David S called them "Slim and Eat Chocolates" as they were dispensed from his "fitness" machine - the idea being that turning the handle in order to obtain a chocolate would use up any calories consumed by eating them. Our photos show rare glimpses of our Secretary, Janet, dancing in a square. Although she dances regularly at Club nights, she is usually the one taking the photos so is rarely seen in them!
