Monday 4th November 2019 - Waggoners 45th Birthday celebration - Waggoners Square Dance Club was opened in November 1974 and tonight over 50 members came to celebrate our 45th birthday. Trudy organised a Grand March, which many of our dancers had not encountered before, first inviting couples to promenade around the hall then making lines of four and then eight which then formed the squares for the next tip.
Simon and Trudy brought along the Square Dance pre-owned clothes shop raising money to train callers in the U.K. We all enjoyed cup cakes during the break and the evening was completed with our three callers, Simon, Trudy and Andrew, singing together "Only a Woman Knows".
