Monday 1st July 2024 - With Trudy and Simon back from their holiday in the Costswolds, we were pleased to welcome Susan, Linda, Paul, Vikki and Val who joined us this evening for the beginning of our new teaching course. They spent most of the evening in the Dining Hall where they were taught the basics by Trudy, assisted by Penny, while Simon called in the Main Hall, assisted by David, to the full Mainstream dancers and our now "Intermediate" Students. As well as recapping "Oceans" our "Intermediates" were introduced to "Wheel and Deal".

Monday 8th July 2024 - On a wet and chilly night our Mainstream and "Intermediate" Student dancers were in the Main Hall with Simon where the newer dancers were introduced to "Zoom" and "Backtrack. Meanwhile in the Dining Hall Trudy, with help from two "Angel" dancers, was teaching the "New" Students "Ladies Rollaway", "U Turn Back" and "Star Thru".

Monday 15th July 2024 On what turned out to be an extremely wet night Trudy was in the Main Hall with the full Mainstream dancers and "Intermediate" Students while Simon was in the Dining Hall with the new Students and 3 "Angels". Simon was on a roll this evening and taught the new Students the moves "Lead Right", "Dive Thru", "Backtrack", "Courtesy Turn" and "Weave the Ring". Meanwhile Trudy recapped "Zoom", "Leaders and Trailers" and "Backtrack" then going on to teach "Box the Gnat", "First Couple go Left, Second Couple go Right" and finally "Wheel and Deal from 2 Faced Lines". David was a guest caller with a full Mainstream tip, which was very well received, using "Chapel of Love" for his singing call.

Monday 22nd July 2024 - Due to holidays, illness, prior engagements etc. we only had enough dancers for two squares. On a very warm evening, after an initial "all together" Tip, Trudy took the Intermediate Students to the Dining Hall where, with the help of two "Angel" dancers she recapped "Double Pass Thru and the First Couple go Left, the Second Couple go Right",  "Wheel and Deal" (from Two-Faced Lines and Lines Facing Out) and "Box the Gnat". The new move that was taught this evening was "Flutterwheel". Meanwhile in the Main Hall, our new "Summer" Students had the moves "Lead Right", "Lead Left" and "Rollaway" recapped by Simon who then went on to teach "Veer Right/Left", "Single File Promenade" and "Backtrack". Simon had brought along some records he had not played for some time including "Baby Makes her Blue Jeans Talk" and "Louisiana Saturday Night". 

We are grateful to David C (in the white shirt in the photos) who was an "Angel" for our new Students in the Main Hall during the first half of the evening and then volunteered to "Angel" for our intermediates in the Dining Hall during the second half.

Monday 29th July 2024 - Due to holidays etc., on a very warm evening we only had enough dancers for two squares so we were all together in the Main Hall. Trudy and Simon mixed the Tips so that we had some suitable for our Students while also having some for our more experienced Mainstream dancers. We were surprised with a visit from Dave R and Mary S who were driven to Hertingfordbury by Dave's daughter. Although Mary was not able to dance, she enjoyed catching up with everyone while Dave joined in a few Tips.
