Monday 1st June - Summer Hoedown - With many members away on holiday this week, including David, our Treasurer, and Janet, our Secretary, we only managed two squares. We were pleased to welcome a few visitors who wanted to try Square Dancing and they were soon being taught the basics by Trudy and Simon who both, as well as calling, joined in with the dancing to make eight in a square.
Monday 8th June - On a chilly night we welcomed 7 dancers to the start of our new teaching course with Trudy and Simon calling alternate tips for the "newbies" and our experienced Mainstream dancers.
Friday 12th June - Penny and Bob went to visit Pat and Mac at their home to give Pat flowers, chocolates, a certificate of achievement and a thank you card in recognition of all the work she has done on the Waggoners Committee for over 40 years.
Monday 15th June - On a warm evening we danced to Trudy and Simon in the Main Hall, most of the Tips being suitable for our newer dancers to join in and learn some new moves including Ladies Chain, Pass Thru, Star Promenade with Square Thru 1,2,3 and 4 being revised. Penny taught the Students to Wheel Around.
