Monday 10th March 2025 - It was cosy again in the Dining Hall this evening, but with a lovely, friendly atmosphere, as we had three Squares, and some spares, dancing to Trudy and Simon with guest tips from Penny and David. In recognition of his visit to the Old Time Music Hall last week, David donned a fancy waistcoat and bowler hat to give us "Don't Dilly Dally" as his singing call. It was then time for the presentations of full club badges, "Completion" certificates, letters of welcome from Malcolm, the BAASDC President, and "Welcome to Waggoners" letters from David, our Treasurer. First to be called up were Marion and Mick followed by Muriel, Penny and Wendy (who decided to receive their presentations together) and finally Helen and Michael. The new full club members then thanked Trudy and Simon for their patient teaching and the whole club for supporting them on their learning journey. They presented Trudy and Simon with a card signed by them all and brought a big tub of Quality Street chocolates for everyone to share. It was then time for the Pot Luck break during which David S and Gill kindly made tea and coffee and everyone enjoyed the shared food. After the empty cups and plates had been cleared away it was time to resume dancing and for Penny's guest tip. In honour of the occasion she had adapted the words to "We'll Sing in the Sunshine" to reflect dancing at Waggoners which everyone enjoyed very much.
