Monday 3rd August 2026 - We took advantage of another warm evening to dance to Trudy and Simon on the playground. Once it got darker we were able to see to dance safely  by turning on both the upper and lower long corridor lights.

Monday 10th August 2026 - After another warm day it was decided to dance on the playground again. However by about 9.00 p.m. it suddenly turned very chilly so we decamped into the Main Hall for the rest of the evening. Simon called for us with guest tips from Penny and David. David taught the Students how to dance a Grand Square properly (one, two, three turn etc.) taking 32 beats rather than a Grand Prix which is how many more experienced dancers at higher levels perform this.

Monday 17th August 2026 - Although it was another warm evening we danced two squares in the Dining Hall as it is starting to get dark outside before 9.00 p.m. Trudy and Simon were our callers with guest tips from Penny and David.

Monday 24th August 2026 Tropical Themed Evening - We came dressed in colourful clothes and enjoyed Tropical Treats of melon, pineapple, kiwi, cherries, Island Mix and mocktails. At the end of the evening Trudy and Simon sang a duet of "On and On" which starts with "Down in Jamaica they've got pretty women" - very suited to our Tropical theme.
